Contstruct your own show at Leif Magne Tangens, Skien, Norway

Very simple instructions:

- Download the images you like to use for your project. (Click the image then download by right click/option button and select save to disk, or click save link to disk right away when right-clicking the thumbnail).
- Use Photoshop or similar software to create your installations by creating a digital collage (JPG).
- Crop the images as you like (it might make sense to occasionally have different close-ups than others), mess up the light (it is pretty ugly as it is) and do what you like. Have a blast. I will try to upload other photographic views in a while.
- Save the files as GREYSCALE images (black and white) and scale the images down to reasonable width and height for internet purposes, usually less than 800 pixels wide and 600 pixels high. The GREYSCALE detail is essential to the design of the website, and, most importantly, it will make it a lot easier for you to fake the installation views.
- Write a press release or statement or a simple invitation. It could be as detailed and pedagogical or dogmatic, or meaningless, as you like. Please decide on the date and duration of the show, or the time of the event or performance. Whatever you find appropriate. You could squeeze it in between other shows or make a current date or a future date.
- Email me your work and the text and a list of works (i.e. titles and details if necessary,) and I will put it all onto the website together with the rest of the shows. Please use the following email address jan_b_christensen@yahoo.com and make sure you write "LEIF MAGNE TANGENS" in the subject field. That would be much appreciated.
- If you want to produce more elaborate .html-, sound or video inserts, simply code the material yourself and make sure all files are placed in one folder which you mail me as a .RAR-compressed directory that I can easily add to the site.

You should not disclose to anyone that this exhibition never took place in reality. It should be regarded as a real one-person show or group show or reading or concert or whatever - depending on your project - and I will never explain to anybody which shows at Leif Magne Tangens were real or fake. Please do feel free to spread the information about your project at Leif Magne Tangen, including the website www.leifmagnetangens.janchristensen.org, and please do list the project in your biography.

I will not turn down any work or ideas as long as you do the proper Photoshop work and manage to make it simple and easy for me to put it online.
