Eve Kateri Tremblay, July 24-26, 2007

The young Berlin-based Canadian artist Eve K. Tremblay will spend three days
in the gallery in Skien, from Sunday to Tuesday, 10.00-20.00, trying to
memorize the book Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury.

This exhibition takes the form of an introvert performance, and marks the
beginning of a project where she will attempt to memorize the entire novel
and re-write, re-tell, re-enact or somehow re-construct the story of the
book in future exhibitions.

Visitors and press are welcome to visit the gallery during her time in the
gallery, but nobody is allowed to speak to her or interrupt her intense
read and process of learning.

One of her upcoming shows includes Bare Words, curated by Leif Magne Tangen
for Lautom Contemporary in Oslo (October 20-November 25, 2007), where she
will install a piece related to this project. She will also follow this idea in her
upcoming solo-exhibition at Buia Gallery in New York City, January 2008.
